2022 Tournament Results

This years tournament at Curt Gowdy State Park was held on Saturday Jan 8th 2022.  All 3 reservoirs were open to fishing.  Fishing was fairly evenly divided this year between the 3 lakes. Grayling were removed from the species list.  Tiger Muskie and Suckers were added to the list. There were no tiger muskie caught in spite of the WGF reports of 36" plus size fish netted during their fall survey prior to the tournament.  

The wind was tolerable this year. Around 300 people turned out for the event.

 

2022 prizes were the best yet.

$2,500 in cash prizes.

NON CASH Species prizes were awarded to:

  2. Brown Trout - Length + Girth: 24 6/8". North Crow. Prize forfeited due to not being at the awards ceremony.

  4. Tiger Muskie - None were caught

Youth prize #1 was awarded to: Sienna Gallegos for a 31 4/8" Rainbow trout (length + girth)! 8 " Mako M43 gas auger

Youth prize #2 was awarded to: Emory Rose (sp) for a 30 6/8" Rainbow trout (length + girth)! Custom Ice Rod with WFT logo. $300: Lambert Custom Rods.

 

The following prizes were awarded to fisherman who caught big fish that didn't win the cash or non-cash prizes in order of fish size. No prizes were held back.
